The mighty Darkthrone, the most free-spirited and still-mysterious of Norway’s prime-era black metal bands, will return on October 14 with ARCTIC THUNDER. Today the duo debuted the track “Tundra Leech,” a chalice filled with pounding, slow and ugly black metal with an underpinning of classic muscular heavy metal. Great stuff as always, and possibly a return to the dark, cold Darkthrone of the past, yet buttressed by the many excursions the band has taken in recent years.

Preorder the hell out this record on orange vinyl via PEACEVILLE RECORDS.

And Bazillion Points is proud to feature the brief “literary debuts” of both members of this illustrious and inspiring band. Be sure to take note of:

Fenriz’s foreword for Jon Kristiansen’s METALION: The Slayer Mag Diaries, and

Nocturno Culto’s foreword for Tom Gabriel Fischer’s ONLY DEATH IS REAL: An Illustrated History of Hellhammer and Early Celtic Frost, 1981–1985
