Anialator was Alex D.’s band that he formed with Mark Olivo, when Alex left Deva…got dave trevino on guitar and Mark Arispe on vocals….and one of corpus’ best underground drummers Alonzo Garcia, they are all great people..i got to roadie for them when they would go out of town(as for myself i played bass for a couple of bands that got to open for them,was also in Rotting Corpse)and yes they got to open for SLayer in San Antonio..so i got to roadie for that 1 in ’88 that was a highlight.thanks to Rodney Dunsmore, i got to be in Rotting Corpse in the Summer of that year.

How can Devastation be mentioned in the same breath with completely uninspired eighth-rate thrashers Anialator is beyond me. Devastation out-thrash almost everybody on ‘Idolatry’.

Sure, and that’s probably the explanation, but these guys were in fact first to vinyl. I’ve got the first Annihilator demo ready to upload, it’s incredibly primitive. More importantly–thank you! I just turned in a new chapter for the paperback version of the Van Halen book, which is coming out in August.

The real band Annihilator was around in 1984 and put out two demos before this band did their first thing. More importantly, your Van Halen book was Awesome!
