Bloody Roots is Sound of the Beast author and Bazillion Points publisher Ian Christe’s heavy metal history show on Sirius XM Liquid Metal channel 40. Launched in June 2004, each weekly show has examined another subgenre, band, movement, country, or theme in metal, punk, and heavy rock. Past episodes are available on-demand online from SiriusXM.com.
So I finally was able to listen to the first playing of Bloody Roots (Saturday show), but to my surprise, the song/band labels are missing. How come? You’d think that if the info is visible on Sunday, it would be available Saturday too…
That’s beyond the level of control I have, but you came to the right place for playlists for this week and all past weeks.
Why Judas Priest twice? I love Judas Priest, but it’s the only track you play twice. Why is that?
Good question! Took a little investigating, but turns out that “Winter” and “Cheater” are loaded in the Sirius XM system as one long track. So there’s a bonus Judas Priest song that has nothing to do with freezing icy winter metal…
