On Tuesday, July 14, Rough Trade NYC (64 N 9th St, Brooklyn, New York 11249) will host a record summit for the ages, as NYHC: New York Hardcore 1980-1990 author Tony Rettman goes arm-in-arm with Bob Suren, author of Crate Digger—a memoir about the good, the bad, and the ugly sides of a life spent obsessed with dirty details of punk rock, heavy metal, and buying and selling records.
Meanwhile, NYHC continues to rake in the praise; most recently the book has been hailed as a “invaluable punk rock history and the perfect companion to Legs McNeil’s Please Kill Me” by the Austin Chronicle.
