Australian bass legend Mark Evans, author of Dirty Deeds: My Life Inside/Outside of AC/DC, is hitting the road with Blood Sweat & Beers, his rip-roaring Down Under supergroup that features on vocals no less a wailing Oz icon than Rose Tattoo’s Angry Anderson. By way of refresher on recent history, when AC/DC went through its recent singer troubles, Anderson’s name “rose” to the surface frequently as a more proper replacement than Axl Rose. Now in cahoots again with Mark Evans, the world can at least see him in action with one member of the classic Bon Scott-era AC/DC lineup.
Blood Sweat & Beers also boasts Aussie rock veterans Dal Pritchard (Rose Tattoo), Grant Walmsley (the Screaming Jets), and James Morley (the Angels). After a series of raucously well-received gigs earlier this summer (or winter, if you live where they are), the band will show its wings and tear across their homeland throughout the rest of August.
