As I said during the show, the new Burzum music is very far from being metal, and same is true for most of the early stuff, honestly. I talked about Burzum, it’s important, but playing three other bands instead of one long song from Filosofem just seemed like a better use of the time.

Burzum as a single act had very little impact on metal. Had he not once played in mayhem and not murdered euronymous then he wouldn’t be nearly as infamous as he is now. Not that his music isn’t good, but left to just his music he wouldn’t have the same recognition he does now.
