I’ve studied the history of Chuck Schuldiner very thoroughly since I was a teenager, taken in all the many accounts and contradictions… there is a few aspects in the story told on this dvd that reeks of revisionism. And I also felt, even though we all know he was hard to work with, Chuck was not exactly treated all that fairly. I also felt it was extremely short, the Schuldiner family did not get all that much dialogue inserted, the credits to the person talking was annoying unsynced and the overall quality of the flick fell short. Someone really dropped the ball here. This is the first documentary of the godfather of death metal, and I was underwhelmed by the end of it. Theres cool stuff in there, dont get me wrong. But to me it doesnt deserve more that a C grade.
