Victory for Fallen Wiccan Soldiers
This Memorial Day will be a good one for the families of 11 deceased Wiccan soldiers. After a long and embarrassing fight, the US Dept. of Veteran Affairs has added the pentacle to the list of 38 approved religious symbols that can be etched on official headstone markers. So the upright star will join the cross, the star of David, and the crescent in military cemeteries. Ignorance loses, for once.
Now Satanists — don’t hold your breath waiting for the pentagram. They’ll approve the Exxon logo for Army gravestones before you get that.
