Nobody’s safe on the bloody middle ground between thrash and death metal this week, as host Ian Christe plunges into the savage maelstrom of death/thrash. This forbidden zone between rhythmic, fast-paced thrash metal and dark, brutal death is owned by a handful of bands including Sadus, Slaughter (CA), Massacra, Demolition Hammer, early Sepultura, Hellwitch, Solstice, Pestilence, Carcinogen and others. Join us and feel no remorse as we thrash towards death!

Find out exactly when thrash metal turned south of heaven towards death metal inside SOUND OF THE BEAST: The Complete Headbanging History of Heavy Metal, by Ian Christe.

  1. Is there a reason we can’t download past episodes??? I mean, the site allows us to download previous episodes of “into the trivia pit” but it doesn’t allow us to download “Bloody Roots”. That makes no sense.
