Viva We Got Power! David Markey and Jordan Schwartz’s hometown paper the Los Angeles Times crowned the Sunday Arts and Books section with a vivid two-thirds page celebration of their big hardcover Bazillion Points guide to the origins of hardcore punk in Southern California. The paper calls the book: “vital to understanding the birth of American punk rock…an essential addition to the history of a movement.”
Amazing stuff, considering that thirty years ago this music was only covered in fanzines and possibly the police blotter!
