Cvlt Nation has pointed us towards some fantastic early footage of author Ross Lomas’ band G.B.H performing a gig with Clay Records labelmates Discharge and English Dogs at Victoria Hall in Stoke-on-Trent in 1983. The forty-minute punk barrage is filled with great-big hair, grievous bodily harm, and Great Britain hardcore.
“Good evening! I’m a sick boy!” shouts singer Colin Abrahall, and the band plunges right into a set of crushing wall-of-sound UK hardcore. The energy is nonstop, the spikes are massive, the crowd surges with every D-beat driven hit…and there’s a light show!
