Cvlt Nation has pointed us towards some fantastic early footage of author Ross Lomas’ band G.B.H performing a gig with Clay Records labelmates Discharge and English Dogs at Victoria Hall in Stoke-on-Trent in 1983. The forty-minute punk barrage is filled with great-big hair, grievous bodily harm, and Great Britain hardcore.
“Good evening! I’m a sick boy!” shouts singer Colin Abrahall, and the band plunges right into a set of crushing wall-of-sound UK hardcore. The energy is nonstop, the spikes are massive, the crowd surges with every D-beat driven hit…and there’s a light show!
If this set gives you fire like it should, feed the fever with Ross’ book. We still have copies of the limited metal badges and we’re launching the book and pin worldwide daily for only $9.95 plus shipping:
